Comprehensive Brow Lift Techniques
At Robey Plastic Surgery, we offer multiple brow lift approaches to address your concerns:
Endoscopic Brow Lift
This minimally invasive brow lifting technique uses several small incisions hidden within the hairline. Dr. Robey inserts a tiny camera (endoscope) and specialized instruments through these incisions to visualize and access the underlying tissues. She then releases and lifts the brow tissues, securing them in a higher position.
The endoscopic approach offers several advantages, including smaller incisions, reduced scarring, less hair loss and a quicker recovery than traditional techniques. This is the preferred method for most patients seeking brow rejuvenation.
Pretrichial Brow Lift
For patients with high foreheads or significant brow ptosis (drooping), Dr. Robey may recommend a pretrichial brow lift. This technique places the incision at the hairline rather than behind it, allowing for significant lifting while preventing further forehead height increase.
The pretrichial approach creates excellent access for tissue repositioning and can reduce forehead height when desired. While the incision is placed at the hairline, Dr. Robey’s meticulous technique allows it to heal as a nearly imperceptible fine line.
Temporal Brow Lift
Sometimes called a “lateral brow lift,” this technique focuses on elevating the outer portion of the eyebrows. Using incisions hidden in the temporal hairline, Dr. Robey lifts and secures the outer third of the brows to create a subtle lift that reduces hooding over the outer eyes.
The temporal approach is ideal for patients with minimal central brow or forehead concerns who primarily want to address heaviness or drooping in the outer eyebrow area. This technique can be performed alone or combined with other procedures like blepharoplasty or facelift.
