Comprehensive Breast Lift Techniques
Dr. Robey customizes each lift to your anatomy, degree of sagging (ptosis), and desired outcome. Several approaches are available to achieve the best aesthetic result with the least visible scarring.
Periareolar Mastopexy (Circumareolar/“Donut” Lift)
For mild sagging requiring about an inch of nipple movement, this technique uses an incision around the areola. It subtly lifts and tightens the breast tissue while keeping scarring limited to the pigmented edge of the areola.
Vertical Mastopexy (“Lollipop” Lift)
For moderate sagging, a vertical lift adds a short incision from the areola to the breast crease, allowing more extensive reshaping and improved projection. This technique produces a balanced, natural contour while minimizing scar visibility.
Full Mastopexy (Anchor/“Wise-Pattern” Lift)
For more significant sagging, this approach adds an incision along the breast crease. It provides the most powerful lift and skin tightening. This technique is ideal for patients after major weight loss, pregnancy, or aging-related laxity. Dr. Robey also prefers to maintain a superior pedicle of blood supply with this technique to help keep more of the breast volume in a perky position as opposed to a low and bottomed out position.
