Gluteal augmentation in the form of a Brazilian butt lift has become a very popular procedure because it allows one to enhance the size and shape of the buttocks using one's own fat.


A Brazilian butt lift involves transferring fat from areas of relative excess (typically the abdomen and flanks) to the buttocks for increased fullness and an improved shape. Incisions for this procedure are very small and can be discretely placed. In addition to augmenting your gluteal area, the Brazilian butt lift allows for contouring of the fat donor areas via liposuction. 

For patients with massive weight loss, droopy buttocks and upper thigh tissue can be addressed through a traditional butt lift procedure. Incisions are typically placed along the top portion of the bikini line across the lower back; excess tissue is excised, allowing the buttocks and upper thigh to be lifted into a more aesthetically pleasing location. A traditional buttock lift is ideal for patients wishing to maintain their current gluteal volume with a tighter overlying skin envelope.
